All is right

Since I took my last final 4 days ago (juries actually, but that counts as a final) I have worked nonstop. I have packed up the last of my son’s things for him to move out. I have then cleaned up his almost empty wing of the house before turning the area into a new office for me, a dressing area and guest rooms. I have turned my old office into a library/ sitting room. I then cleaned the whole house, since I had let it go since spring break! I guess we were lucky we did not catch any diseases during that time!

I have finished the back veranda that I started during spring break and and also cleaned the front porch. I am now totally ready to throw a dinner party tonight, except for actually cooking the food, which I will start doing in just a minute here.

When I think of all I have done, juries seem like a lifetime ago, not four days ago, and school seems like a world away.

So I am now writing from the comfort and privacy of my new office, my son is happily living only 15 minutes away in his own fabulous space and life is calm, if only for a week. Next week is jury duty and in three weeks I will be in chemistry class. But for now all is right with the world.
