Weekend

I have gotten so much done this weekend! I was out so late on Friday striking the Pippin set that I quickly flaked out of the Alabama- Georgia Southern game when Tim said we could skip it and watch it at home. Of course at that point we thought we could watch it on Xbox. As it turns out it was blacked out in Alabama and Georgia so $40 later we had the game on Pay Per View. Had I known, we would have just gone but hey, why use $200 worth of tickets when you can pay $40 more and stay home??

I did however get the laundry done, all of the floors either vacuumed (carpet), polished (hardwoods), or scrubbed (tile) and the den is newly arranged and ready for a Christmas tree (sometime AFTER finals!!)

Today I went to church for the first time in three weeks and then worked on a power point presentation for computer class and studied The Misanthrope for a quiz tomorrow. I am two classes away from a much needed Thanksgiving break! I need to get away for a couple of days before returning to juries, finals and auditions for next semester. It seems like it never ends but in fact it does. After Thanksgiving break there are only two and a half jam packed weeks until another semester is finished. If I can hold it together for that long I think it will have been a pretty good semester. It started out rough but it has turned into a semester that definitely has seen lots of learning and lots of growth.

I have learned how not to audition, who not to listen to, and when not to second guess myself! I have grown in confidence and in my abilities in a big way just in the last few weeks. It is like I hit a wall of disappointment and bounced off of it to find a whole new outlook.

So just in time, I get a break to relax, restore myself and come out swinging to end this semester and look forward to the next.
