Complicated

How complicated do we have to make it? Can’t we just love each other? Do we have to put labels on people? Can I not honestly see you for who you are and love you anyway? Do we have to wait for the church or the government to say it is OK for us to accept who you are? Can’t I just help you because you are a human like me? Do I have to feel like I am “saving” you when in fact we are all in this together? Do I have to wonder who is right when in actuality probably none of us are? Do I have to feel less than because of my upbringing or more than because of my place in society? When do we stop fighting and start loving, like we were told to? Will it really take so long to see a change? Will I ever understand why we make things so complicated?
